The purpose of the study was to investigate the degree of influence between Children`s Perceptions of Communications and Confidence with Mothers and Emotional Intelligence. For these research, the respondents were 448 of 4, 5, 6th-grade children of elementary school lived in JeonJu. It was analyzed by various statistical methods such as Frequency, Percentile, ANOVA, F-test, t-test, Duncan`s test, Pearson correlation, Regression Analysis. The results of this study were as follows; First, Children`s Perceptions of Open Communications, Problematic Communications and Confidence with Mothers had the significant difference according to the variable such as a school year. Open Communications and Problematic Communications had significant differences between 4, 5 and 6th-grade children. Confidence had significant differences between 5 and 6th-grade children. Second, the area of other-awareness among subordinate areas of the emotional intelligence had the significant difference according to the variable such as sex. the area of other-control among subordinate areas of the emotional intelligence had the significant differences according to the variables such as sex, a school year. Third, the children`s self-awareness was significantly correlated with Children`s Perceptions of Open Communications and Confidence with Mothers. the children`s self-control was significantly correlated with Children`s Perceptions of Open Communications, Problematic Communications and Confidence with Mothers, the children`s other-awareness was significantly correlated with Children`s Perceptions of Open Communications, Problematic Communications and Confidence with Mothers and children`s sex. the children`s other-control was significantly correlated with Children`s Perceptions of Open Communications, Problematic Communications and Confidence with Mothers and children`s sex and a school year. Fourth, Children`s self-awareness had the significant differences according to the variables such as Open Communications, Confidence in the order named. Children`s self-control had the significant difference according to the variable such as Open Communications. Children`s other-awareness had the significant differences according to the variables such as Open Communications, Confidence, sex. Children`s other-control had the significant differences according to the variables such as Open Communications, Confidence, sex in the order named.
