초등학생의 자율동기, 통제동기 및 학습몰입에 대한 부모의 독립 증진과 의지기능 증진의 상호작용 효과 = Interactive effects of parental promotion of independence and promotion of volitional functioning on autonomous motivation, controlled motivation and flow experience in elementary school students

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 부모의 자율성 지지를 독립 증진과 의지기능 증진으로 구분하여 자녀의 자율동기, 통제동기, 학습몰입에 미치는 독립적 효과와 상호작용 효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 초등학교 5, 6학년 312명을 대상으로 수집된 자료를 바탕으로 잠재조절 구조방정식 모형으로 분석하였다. 주요 연구결과는 첫째, 독립 증진과 의지기능 증진 모두 자율동기와 학습몰입에 정적 효과가 있었다. 그러나 통제동기에 대해 독립 증진은 정적 효과를 보였고, 의지기능 증진은 부적 효과를 나타냈다. 둘째, 독립 증진이 미치는 효과는 의지기능 증진이 수반될수록 자율동기와 학습몰입에 긍정적인 효과가 증가한 반면,의지기능 증진은 낮으면서 독립 증진만 높은 경우에는 자율동기와 학습몰입은 낮아지고 통제동기는 높아졌다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 자녀의 자율동기, 통제동기, 학습몰입을 높이기 위한 부모의 자율성 지지적 양육 전략에 대해 논의하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aimed to examine independent and interaction effects on children's autonomous motivation, controlled motivation and flow experience in learning when parents’ autonomy support was divided into promotion of independence (PI) and promotion of volitional functioning (PVF). For this purpose, data collected from 312 students in the 5th and 6th grades of elementary school were analyzed using structural equation model. The results are as follows. First, promotion of independence (PI) had a positive effect only on controlled motivation, while promotion of volitional functioning (PVF) had a negative effect on controlled motivation and a positive effect on autonomous motivation and flow experience in learning. Second, as for the effect of promotion of independence (PI), the higher promotion of volitional functioning (PVF), the higher was the positive effect on autonomous motivation and flow experience in learning. On the contrary, when promotion of independence (PI) was high while the promotion of volitional functioning (PVF) was low, autonomous motivation and flow experience decreased and controlled motivation increased as promotion of independence (PI) increased. Based on these findings, educational interventions to increase children's autonomous motivation, controlled motivation, and flow experience in learning were discussed.
