‘ㅎ’ 탈락 현상 연구:강릉 지역어를 중심으로 = A Study of /h/-Deletion in Korean

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Concentrating on /h/-deletion in Korean, this paper argues for two points. First, motivation of synchronic h-deletion can be expressed by interaction of AGREE(voice), IDENT(voice)/VOP and MAX-IO. Second, a difference between obligatory and optional h-deletion is that the former violates the Alignment constraint whereas the latter does not. Under the assumption that grammars are partial rankings of optimality-theoretic constraints(Anttila 1997, 2002), reranking would be one possible approach to obligatory and optional phenomena.
