개정 2022 초등 음악교과서를 통해 바라본 지역적 변화 -제주를 중심으로 = Regional Changes Viewed Through the Revised 2022 Music Textbooks –Focusing on Jeju

국문 초록 (Abstract)

초등학교 시기는 자아 및 문화적 정체성을 정립하는 데 있어 교육적 효율을 극대화할 수 있는 중요한 시기이다. 이에 본 연구는 초등 음악 교과서에 수록된 제주 관련 내용을 분석하여, 제주만의 정체성에 기반한 독창성과 차별성을 확인하고 향후 교육적 방향성을 고찰하였다. 분석 결과로 첫째, 제주 관련 곡은 총 41곡이 언급되었으며, 그중 악보가 수록된 14곡이고, 주로 ‘일노래’를 중심으로 구성되어 있었다. 둘째, 수록된 악보 중8곡은 국립국악원 채보곡을 바탕으로 하며, QR 코드를 통해 추가 정보를 제공하고 있었다. 셋째, 제주민요의음악적 특징을 제주어와의 연관성 속에서 제시하고 있었다. 넷째, 제주어의 다양한 쓰임에 관한 서술이 포함되어 있으나, 다섯째, 과거와 비교했을 때 제주 문화 및 축제 관련 내용은 다소 감소한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한분석을 바탕으로 도출한 결론과 제언은 다음과 같다. 먼저, 교과서 수록 악곡의 대표성을 검토하여 제주 전역의 특색을 고르게 반영할 수 있는 제재곡 선정 노력이 필요하다. 또한, 제주어로 매개되는 고유의 음악적 특징에 대한 심도 있는 교육과 함께, 종합예술로서 제주 무속 문화에 대한 이해 교육이 병행되어야 한다. 아울러제주어에 대한 가치 평가를 통해 제주만의 공간적·언어적 정체성을 확립하려는 지역 사회의 노력이 요구된다.
본 연구는 음악 교육을 통해 제주 정체성, 제주어, 제주민요의 개념을 보다 명확히 정의하고 구체화함으로써향후 교과서 개정에 실질적인 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다. 이를 실현하기 위한 전문가 차원의 후속 연구가 지속적으로 이루어져야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The elementary school years are a critical period for maximizing educational efficiency in estab lishing self-identity and cultural identity. Accordingly, this study analyzed Jeju-related content in cluded in elementary music textbooks to identify the uniqueness and distinctiveness based on Jeju's distinct identity and to examine future educational directions. The analysis revealed the following: First, a total of 41 Jeju-related songs were mentioned; among them, the 14 songs with included sheet music were primarily composed of ‘work songs.’ Second, eight of the included scores were based on transcribed pieces by the National Gugak Center, providing additional information via QR codes.
Third, the musical characteristics of Jeju folk songs were presented in relation to the Jejueo. Fourth, descriptions regarding the diverse usage of the Jejueo were included; however, fifth, content related to Jeju culture and festivals appeared to have decreased somewhat compared to the past. Based on this analysis, the conclusions and recommendations are as follows. First, it is necessary to review the representativeness of the musical pieces included in textbooks and make efforts to select subject mat ter that evenly reflects the unique characteristics of the entire Jeju region. Furthermore, in-depth ed ucation on the unique musical characteristics mediated by the Jejueo must be accompanied by edu cation on understanding Jeju shamanistic culture as a comprehensive art form. In addition, efforts by the local community to establish Jeju's unique spatial and linguistic identity through the valuation of the Jejueo are required. This study aimed to provide practical implications for future textbook re visions by more clearly defining and concretizing the concepts of Jeju identity, the Jejueo, and Jeju folk songs through music education. To realize this, follow-up research at the expert level must be continuously conducted.
