In purpose of understanding the family values shared in society members, the LCA was implemented by using the survey data asking the attitudes towards marriage, family planning, cohabitation and divorce. On preliminary analysis, the total responders seemed to have positive perspective on marriage, negative perspective on cohabitation and divorce. However, under the assumption that there could be different latent classes by individual situations such as age, marital status, we applied LCA to search those latent classes and calculated each distribution ratio. Since gender can also affect the attitudes towards the family values, we searched latent classes by classifying them by gender. The result showed that there exist 4 latent classes among the total responders. And we labeled each class as Conservative, Divorced or expected to have marital problems, Progressive and Not married. And with the gender variable added, LCA showed the same 4 classes but larger class distribution ratio of Progressive in women.
