자아통제와 기회의 상호작용이 청소년 비행에 미치는 영향 = The Effect of Self-Control and Opportunity on Juvenile Delinquency

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 자아통제와 기회요인, 그리고 이들 변인들 간의 상호작용 효과가 청소년 비행에 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. 일반이론에서 주장하는 비행의 원인인 자아통제과 비행을 저지를 수 있는 기회요인 간의 관계에 대해서는 아직 논란이 되고 있다. 이 연구에서는 자아통제로 인해 비행을 저지르는 과정에서 기회요인의 역할에 주목하여 살펴보고자 하였다. 그 결과, 자아통제와 부모감독 그리고 여가시간은 비행에 영향을 미치고 있어 자아통제뿐만 아니라 기회요인도 독립적으로 비행에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 자아통제와 여가시간의 상호작용 효과도 비행에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 이와 같은 결과는 일반이론에서의 주장과 다르게 자아통제를 통제하여도 기회요인이 비행에 영향을 미치고 있었고, 자아통제력이 여가시간과 같은 기회요인을 통해 비행을 더욱 저지르게 할 수 있는 조건으로 작용하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구의 결과를 통해 자아통제와 같은 개인의 내적, 안정적 성향뿐만 아니라 사회환경적 요인이 모두 비행에 영향을 미치고 있다고 결론지을 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study of the effect on juvenile delinquency is about self-control, opportunity factor and the interaction effect between these variables. There are still controversy about the relationship between the self-control that is regarded as the cause of the delinquency in the general theory and the opportunity factor of the delinquency. This study focused on the role of the opportunity factor in the process of occurrence of delinquency by self-control. As a result, it shows that self-control, parents' supervising and spare time influenced on the delinquency and the opportunity factor also influenced on the delinquency. And the interaction effect between self-control and spare time influenced on the delinquency, statistically. So we can see the opportunity factor influenced on the delinquency despite the control of self-control differently from the general theory, and the self-control was a contributing factor to delinqency in combination with the opportunity factor as spare time. So we can conclude that the personal inner, stable tendency and the factor of social environment influenced on the delinquency.
