근대 학교 교육과 국어 독본 = The Modern schooling and a reader of Korean Language

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study focuses on the process of the birth of Korean language textbook that published as a formation of a reader in the period Korean Empire government and Japanese colonial era. Korean language textbook is required the establishment of a modern school and the system of the subject. The history of Korean modern schooling shapes up in 1895, at that time there is a subject of Korean language and the Chinese classics in the school. A subject of Korean language takes on the modern knowledge, the Chinese classics do the traditional values and a subject of moral culture takes on both above-mentioned. Thus, for the propriety toward that system of the subject, the form of a reader, namely anthology, is appeared. And the form of a reader is changed by addition of the early literacy instruction materials, illustrations, and exercises.
