유아교사의 문화지능에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Cultural Quotient of the Teachers for Young Children

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 다문화시대에 적합한 교육 및 보육실행을 위해 요구되는 유아교사의 문화지능에 관한 기초자료를 제공하기 위해 실행되었다. 이를 위해 서울 경기 지역 유치원과 어린이집 교사 314명을 연구대상으로 유아교사의 문화지능 수준과 유아교사의 관련변인에 따른 문화지능의 차이에 대하여 검증하였다. 연구결과 유아교사의 문화지능수준은 2.98로 중간수준(2.5)보다 조금 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 유아교사의 문화지능은 교사의 학력, 다문화연수경험, 해외여행 및 거주경험 변인에 따라 차이가 있었으며 유아교사의 문화지능에 대한 영향력 있는 요인은 해외여행경험인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 효과적인 유아다문화교육 및 보육을 위해 다문화연수기회가 더욱 증진되어야 함과 아울러 문화에 대한 직접적인 경험이 교사의 문화지능수준에 직결됨으로 유아교사를 위한 다문화연수과정에 다양한 문화에 대한 체험의 기회가 마련되어야 함을 시사한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was carried out in order to provide the fundamental data on the Cultural Quotient of the teacher for young children required for the appropriate practice of education and child-care in the multi-cultural era. For fulfilling this goal, I selected 314 teachers who worked at kindergartens and nursery schools in the area of Seoul Metropolitan city and Kyonggi Province and examined the difference between the level of the Cultural Quotient of the teacher for young children and the Cultural Quotient of the teacher for young children according to the related variables. The outcome shows that the level of the Cultural Quotient of the teacher for young children was 2.98, higher than in the middle. For the Cultural Quotient of the teacher for young children, there was a difference according to the academic background of the teachers, the experience of multi-culture seminar, the experience of overseas travel or stay in foreign countries variables. The influential factor for the Cultural Quotient of the teacher for young children was the experience of overseas travel. Like this, the results of the study indicates that we should enhance the opportunities for the seminar for the multi-culture in order to carry out the effective education and child-care.
