Since 1960, the apartment in the country has increased drastically and it leads to various changes in the culture of housing. The apartment brings about standardization. Since the midium or large size of apartment have increased after 2000's and people have interested in interior, Image Wall appeared for the most elegant strategy.
If we think the Image Wall as a part of the interior, it is a very important. However, it has some problems which the Image Wall doesn't consider residents' taste.
Recently every space in the house not only the wall in the livingroom but also a bedroom, a dining room, the corridor and the front door has been recognized as a important design point, and the range of use is getting more itemized. Nowadays many people interest in heading north of the housing, so standardization of Image Wall design is pointed problems of esthetical and economic parts.
So we need to solve the problems and design a proper Image Wall according with the esthetical parts. This study focused on Image Wall Design like above and forming opinion about Image Wall which emphasizes decoration parts in the apartment, than investigate and analyze the present condition of Image Wall.
Image Wall is designed by considering practicality, function, economical efficiency, nature-friendly and produced by adapting modern lifestyle classic, modern, natural, antique, minimal etc. The formations of Image Wall are classified side pillar, fretwork pillar, verticality style, horizontality style, division style and composition style, and classified as the subject matter wallpaper, patterned wood, patterned paper, tile, scagliola, textile, paint, glass etc. The light is established indirect light(which can't come out the surface of the side), lamp, direct light(which comes out the surface of the side), a pendent, wall lamp and it produce various effects.
Image Wall investigation of present condition can classify A, B, C type according to the analyzed information. A-TYPE emphasizes function and practicality, B-TYPE themes well-being and nature-friendly and C-TYPE is designed for satisfaction about desire of more elegant. With these, there comes out better design of the new Image Wall for the desire.
According to this study, there are chosen the proper formations, the proper subject matter and the proper lights for the every size of the house. Image Wall can be designed followed by PDP and well-being trend and considered with decoration, function, economical efficiency and practicality. It will be Image Wall makes a good thing out of space application.
