TV 드라마에 재현된 국제결혼과 혼혈 연구 = 〈하노이 신부〉와 〈깜근이 엄마〉를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문의 목적은 〈하노이 신부〉와 〈깜근이 엄마〉가 제기한 국제결혼과 혼혈에 대한 문제의식을 추출하고, 이를 토대로 현 단계 한국사회의 다문화에 대한 인식과 태도를 비판적으로 검토하는 것이다. 이 두 드라마는 민족 최대 명절의 하나인 추석에 방영되어 단일민족 신화에 젖어있던 한국사회에 잔잔한 파문을 던졌다. 하지만 이러한 성과에도 불구하고 이 두 드라마는 다음의 두 가지 이유에서 분명한 한계를 갖는다. 하나는 각각 ‘낭만적사랑’과 ‘가족 만들기’라는 멜로드라마와 가족드라마의 장르적규범과 관습에 의존함으로써 국제결혼과 혼혈의 문제를 본격적으로 문제 삼거나 탐구하지 못했기 때문이고, 다른 하나는 현재 한국정부가 시행하고 있는 결혼을 통한 선별적 동화주의 모델을 별다른 비판 없이 그대로 수용하고 있기 때문이다. 이는 국제결혼을 둘러싼 현실적 난제들을 ‘낭만적 사랑’과 ‘가족 만들기’의 서사를 통해 가족 내부의 문제로 환원하는 결과를 초래했다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The Purpose of this paper is to examine the problems of the international marriage and the mixed-bloods presented in ‘Bride from Hanoi’ and ‘Mother of Ggamgeun’, and, on the basis of that, review the cognition and attitude of the multiculture in the multicutuaral society, critically. These two dramas were broadcasted during “Chusok” (Korean Thanksgiving) holidays, one of the biggest holidays in Korea, and caused a sensation in the Korean society enslaved by the illusion of the homogeneous nation.
However, in spite of the result, the dramas show the limitations of the following two reasons, clearly. The one is that the problems of the international marriage and the mixed-bloods were not dealt with and are explore in earnest, because the dramas depended on ‘romantic love’ and ‘making family’, the norms and conventions of the genres of melodrama and family dramas.
The other is that the dramas accepted the selective assimilationism executed by Korean government without criticism. These ways caused to transform the realistic difficult problems on the international marriage into the inner problems of family through the description of the romantic love and ‘making family’.
