Yi-I asserted that Shaoyong was one of successors of the sage in the Confucian orthodox school, especially in inner sage-outer kingship, and was only one man who understood the four sages in I-ching studies. He also thought of him as one of citizens in the Heaven, and took his studies of number was not the method of specific skill but one to reaveal the truth which could be applied to politics, and governoring. There were some remarks about these in his works named 『Seonghakjipyou』, 『Seokdamilki』 and etc, but his two long poets named <Hoekjeonyuyeok畵前有易賦> and <Kongjunglukak空中樓閣賦> were concentrated on his trancendental philosophy of I-ching. Some confucian philosophers who were friendly with Shaoyong`s I-ching studies lived in the near by Seoul. Many of them were in the academic line of Yi- I school. Such phenomena could be connected with Yi- I`s attitude for Shayong. Lots of scholars like Yi- I interpreted and commented the Shaoyong`s main concepts and his philosophical keywords as well as wrote poets according to the forms of him, the same lyme of first and latter line of the poet. And they admired his personality and attitude for going the way of happy life which was niether vulgar nor sensual.
