The purpose of this study is to test if there is any significant effect of motives, which divided into utility usage motivation, pleasure usage motivation, and ostentation usage motivation on the customer satisfaction and choice attributes in a speciality coffee shop. In accordance of theoretical studies and previous examinations, hypotheses have been set to accomplish the objects. The surveys for the research was targeted to customers who used the franchised coffee shop in the past month in Seoul and Kyungki province. Data was collected from May 11th to June 1st. A total of 235 valid responses used for data analysis. Data analysis was done with SPSS Win 12.0 and SEM(Structural Equation Model) analysis and Path analysis was done with AMOS 7.0.
The findings of this study are summarized as follow:
First, utility usage motivation of customers was shown to have effect on tangibility, reliability and comfortability of choice attributes.
Second, both hedonic usage motivation and ostentation usage motivation of customers was shown to have effect on tangibility, reliability, comfortability, assurance, and responsiveness of choice attributes.
Third, tangibility, reliability and comfortability with the exception of assurance and responsiveness of choice attributes were shown to have effect on customer satisfaction.
