This study aims to analyze the effect of the mentoring program at A University on the university life adaptation of Chinese international students. As the national and corporate reputation of Korea rises and the popularity of the Korean Wave grows, the government has opened its doors to international students, leading to a continuous increase in foreign student enrollments at universities. However, many international students face significant challenges in adapting to university life due to linguistic, cultural, and academic difficulties. In response to these issues, many universities have introduced mentoring programs. This study examines the experiences of Chinese international students participating in A University’s mentoring program by utilizing a university life adaptation scale in four domains: academic, social, emotional, and environmental adaptation. Through In-Depth interviews, the study finds that the mentoring program positively influenced language proficiency, academic achievement, interpersonal relationships, and cultural adaptation. In particular, sustained interactions with mentors provided psychological stability. This study offers insights into the practical effects and implications of mentoring programs for international students.
