The purpose of this study was to investigate the social network of university's athletes. For the purpose of the study, a social network was viewed as comprised of : size(number) and interaction.
363 university's atheletes were selected using a simple random sampling method. Social network was measured by the questionnaire based on Israel, Houge, & Gorton(1980), Mitchell & Trickett(1980) and Kang(1997). Frequency analysis, paired t-test, Anova methods were used in order to test the each hypothesis.
On the basis of the results analysed, the conclusions were drawn as follows;
1, There was a significant difference between athletes' size of the social network through sport and size of it through daily life.
2, There was a significant difference between athletes's interaction of the social network through sport and interaction of it through daily life.
3, There were a significant differences in athletes's size and interaction of the social network by the sport type(individual or team).
