One of the important characteristics of the human being is to create a culture. Cultural creation enables the human kind to present the direction of a future-oriented and new life and have the measure of the life.
This cultural measure is the religion, which forms the substance constituting the source of the life that relieves man of psychological conflict and sublimates into it by projecting it into the culture.
Therefore religious representations become the material and theme of artistic expression and open the right way for the life at the base of cultural advancement. Therefore, religion and art are the mutually indispensable relationship to each other.
As a result of inquiring into the influence of dance on christian missionary wok in Korea, the following findings were drawn;
Firstly, arts in christianity is accomplished by the creative ability which God endows human beings.
Therefore, the purpose of arts must consist in Jesus Christ and artistic works should be created under the calling of God to use them for his glory.
Secondly, missionary work is to propagate gospels, and arts should necessarily cone to the fore to enhance the efficiency of missionary work Arts for missionary work play a leading role in assisting in church service and allowing the congregation to understand Jesus christ's gospels quick. That is, arts for missionary work is the specific expression of more directly manifesting God's glory.
Thirdly, it can be seen that the meaning of dance presented in the Bible is the expression of joy and joviality like the saying that dance reflects God's rhythm and dance is the method of active church service of worship that delights God.
In particular, the aspect of missionary dance activities in christian missionary work in Korea is paving the fresh way for christian missionary work by playing a role of the pioneer of missionary arts as the 1990s as the starting point.
In addition, the creation .of missionary dance works represents the christian world-view on the basis of the Bible, yet it should consider the situation of the times and local guality.
