Analysis on Visual Design of Traditional Opera Music in the Context of New Media-Take Huaihai Opera, A Local Opera in Jiangsu Province as an Example

In the contemporary context of new media, the development of music visualization technology has shown a trend towards increased maturity and diversification. Particularly within the realm of traditional ethnic music, the application of music visualization has provided a richer array of expressive forms for its dissemination. This paper takes Huaihai Opera, a local drama from Jiangsu Province, as a case study, utilizing digital software to explore and analyze the distinctive vocal style “La Hun Qiang” of Huaihai Opera. It con-templates how to more accurately transform the musical information of Huaihai Opera into visual graphics, thereby visualizing the “invisible” musical elements of the opera. Concurrently, it employs audio-visual interactive design to enhance the multisensory experience of the audience. Through this innovative visualization approach, the paper aims to enhance the communicative efficacy of Huaihai Opera, allowing it to promote its cultural essence in the modern digital media context through a digital manifestation.
