The current chemistry textbook of five Korean, two Japanese and a American using by senior high school curriculum have been surveyed to compare with the contents and appendices.
Koreans chemistry textbooks (Ⅰ) and (Ⅱ) contain four units(29.5%) for chemical reaction and two units (21.8%) for regularity of physical worlds, five unit (19.9%) for carbon and high molecular compounds and a unit for thermochemistry respectively.
Japanese chemistry textbooks (A) conaain three units (27%) for material properties and a unit for material constitution respectively. Chemistry textbooks (B) contain one unit (37.1%) for composition of material, and two units (27.8%) for material properties, atoms and molecules respectively.
American chemistry textbook contains one unit (6.3%) for oxidation-reduction and electrochemistry and one unit(2.5%) for environmental chemistry respectively.
The differencies among textbooks of three countries are that Korean do not contain environmental chemistry, energy-resource chemistry astro-chemistry and conception of normality but American and Japanese books.
