노인부양가족의 가족신념체계와 부양부담의 관계에 관한 연구 = The Relationship between Perceived Family Belief System and Caregiver Burden among Family Caregivers of Frail Elderly

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 노인부양가족의 부양부담 수준을 알아보고, 노인부양가족이 인지한 가족신념체계와 이들의 부양부담의 관계를 파악하여 노인부양가족에 대한 개입방안을 모색해 보는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이를 위해 서울시에 거주하는 60세 이상의 노인을 부양하는 202명의 부양가족을 의도적 표집방법에 의해 추출한 후 그들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 기술통계방법 및 위계적 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 노인부양가족의 부양부담 수준은 보통정도인 것으로 나타났다. 부양부담에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 가족신념체계 하위요인 중 가족강점이 가장 큰 것으로 나타났으며, 통제변인 투입후에도 설명력은 유의미하였다. 이외에도 부양가족과 노인의 관계의 질과 부양가족의 건강상태도 부양부담에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과 가족신념체계 변수 중 가족강점, 즉 가족의 긍정적인 시각이 부양부담과 관련이 있음을 새롭게 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구결과를 중심으로 한 이론적 함의 및 실천적 함의가 제시되었다.

The purposes of this study were to examine the extent of caregiver burden among family cargivers of frail elderly and to find the impact of family belief system on the caregiver burden. The subjects of this study were family members who provide caregiving to the elderly people aged 60 and over, and data were collected by non-probability sampling method. A total of 202 questionnaires were analyzed by descriptive statistics and hierarchical multiple regression method. Results showed that the level of caregiving stress of family members was not higher than expected. Family strength was appeared as the most important predictor to explain caregiver burden. In addition, quality of relationship between family and the elderly, and health status of caregivers proved to be important factors affecting caregiver burden. Focusing on these results, practical implications of this study were suggested.
