      The purpose of this study is to exam the characteristics of the office area in the institution for the gifted children. The research of the cases were 5 opened after year 2000 and areas were over 200㎡ and located in Seoul and Gyungi-do. The research results are as followed. The first, the working spaces of the institutions were not divided as their purpose. it should be divided into the director`s room, the teacher`s room, the meeting room and the material room. The second, the furnishing are concerned with conveniency and practicality by using of the millwork system. It is better to use the indirect ambient and spot light instead of using direct light. The third, the use of the various of materials are increased the efficacy of the work. The use of the various of colors which continuously practice from other spaces make better use of a space and decrease the differency.
