It is well known that the contents of treatment using Buddhist are mainly related Ayurvedic medicine in Indian ancient(Ayur veda) and ancient India religion(Tantrism). It is found mainly in the early esoteric scriptures in order to solve practical problems. It is usually about A.D.3th century that the early esoteric scriptures were translated into Chinese, and we can be seen the contents of treatment using Buddhist in the early esoteric scriptures. So, It is guessed that these scriptures have given influence to Silla Buddhism after the 5th century, that is, the time of Silla embraced Buddhism.
The period of early 5-6th century in Silla, it was a time that all people acutely request the knowledge of the treatment using Buddhist listed in the early esoteric scriptures. Ado(阿道) and Mukhoja(墨胡子) were the first preached Buddhism to the Silla, they were case to be treated using the incense in their achievements. That is to say, It will be attempted that, as part of the lack of traditional medicine, its role in trying to Buddhism. It had to make an opportunity to resolve the conflict the face of Silla Buddhism accepts, demand for treatment of the people of Silla to meet the needs.
『栴檀香火星光妙少女經』,it is the first translation of the scriptures of Silla, If it is related to the using the treatment of candana gandha(栴檀香) direction for early esoteric scriptures to recognize that, it showed a treatment of incense by Ado and Mukhoja, it is related with the acts can be found in terms of similarities. This is similar to the treatment by Ado and mukhoja of using incense methods.
Such a treatment of using the burning incense(焚香, gandha-pradhupita) activities was prevalent in China, it had used the incense of the early esoteric scriptures seems to be similar to the treatment, after it leads to the treatment activity of the early esoteric monk Milbon(密本) and Hyetong(惠通) and it seemed to be a role of settled Buddhism.
