한국정치연구와 문화교차학적 접근

국문 초록 (Abstract)

사회과학연구의 적실성 문제는 한국의 사회과학자들을 괴롭혀온 문제이다. 연구방법을 빌려오면서 연구문제도 빌려와서 한국의 실정에는 잘 맞지 않는다는 비판에 동의하면서도 대안적 시각이 부재해서 기존의 연구 틀이 가진 문제점을 적확하게 집어내지는 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 한국사회의 정체성을 밝히는 것이 사회과학연구의 적실성을 확보하는 지름길이라고 보고, 한국사회의 많은 문제가 사실은 우리가 의식하지 못하는 사이에 우리가 처하게 된 “문화의 교차점”에서 발생한다는 것을 예시를 통해서 보이고 이를 문화교차학적 접근으로 발전시킨다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Korean social scientists have been suffering from the lack of relevance in their research endeavor. They seem to accept the criticism, agreeing that one of the main reasons is that when they import research methods, they also bring in the research problems. Knowing the context of the problem is not of great help. Without an alternative perspective or a theory, they are not able to pinpoint the locus of the problem. This study is conducted on the premise that one of the short cuts to secure the relevance of Korean social research is to inquire into Korean social identity. This study tries to show that many current Korean social problems stem from the confusing identity, which is mainly the result of crossing of two different cultures. It also purports to develop an alternative perspective called "cross-cultural approach."
