Asymmetric membranes were prepared with polystyrene photo-cross-linked with divinylbenzene by phase inversion process. Polymer concentration in casting solution and degree of cross-linking determine the final structure of membrane. Membranes with "skin" at both top and bottom were obtained with higher DVB contents due to the phase separation at air inetrface and preferential polymer adsorption at the support inetface. Pore structure of final membrane could be controlled by degree of cross-linking.
