The purpose of this study is to investigate quantitatively the ore deposits or the ore veins of Eun-Jeuck gold mine located in Tae-backri, Suh-ho myeon, Young-am county with the VLF-EM16 system.
The country rocks of surveyed area is mainly consisted of volcanic rock, rhyolite which was intruded by the plutonic rocks, and the ore minerals are constituted of arsenopyrites pyrites, chalcopyrites and galenas.
During the VLF-EM16 prospecting, NDT(17.4KHz) signal from Yosami, Japan was applied as the transmission signals and the skin depth calculated by the resistivities (2,000Ω_m) of rhyolite and 17.400Hz primary signals was 171m.
The results of surveyed in-phase and quardrature components have showed within the low values of +, -20% respones. In order to eliminate the background noise from the topographical irregularities, the numerical filtering proceses from the measured data were applied and the data was contoured with the intervals of 10 units.
Although this anomalous zone is extended from the different position with the strike of the ore veins under development, both of trends are in the same direction.
In conclusion, it is assumed that the results of the data interpretation was originated from the sulfldes ore body.
