자폐 범주성 장애 영아 부모를 위한 부모교육 프로그램이 부모의 양육 효능감과 양육 스트레스에 미치는 영향 = The effects of parent education on parenting efficacy and parenting stress for parents of toddlers with autism spectrum disorders

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Purpose: This study developed the parent education program for parents who had toddlers with autism spectrum disorders to support their difficulties. Method: The subjects were 10 parents who had toddlers with autism spectrum disorders under 36months. To provide the parent education program which covers diverse characteristics of autism spectrum disorder, the program assessed symptoms of autism, social-communication skill, sensory profile and challenging behaviors. The program also investigated the needs of parents. According to the results of the assessment, the program was made for each parent, and the parent groups were divided into small groups. And the parents participated in the individual interventions to know how to support their children with autism. Results: To measure the effects of the parent education, data for pre-parenting efficacy and parenting stress were compared with those for post-parenting efficacy and parenting stress. The results showed that there were significant positive changes in parenting efficacy and parenting stress. Conclusion: This study has implications that the study provides the data of contents and ways of parent education for parents of toddlers with autism spectrum disorders.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

연구목적: 본 연구는 자폐 범주성 장애 영아가 초기 진단을 받은 시기의 부모의 어려움을 돕고자 부모교육 프로그램을 개발하여 실시하였다. 연구방법: 자폐 범주성 장애로 진단을 받은 36개월 이하 영아의 부모 10명이 연구대상자로 선정되었고 이들을 대상으로 부모교육 프로그램을 실시하였다. 자폐 범주성 장애의 다양한 특성을 고려한 부모교육을 실시하기 위해 영아의 자폐 성향, 언어, 감각력, 문제 행동에 대한 평가가 이루어졌으며 부모의 지원 요구에 대한 조사가 이루어졌다. 평가 결과를 토대로 부모교육 지원 계획이 이루어졌으며 그에 따라 대그룹 부모교육, 소그룹 부모교육, 개별 부모교육이 시행되었다. 연구결과: 본 프로그램의 효과를 알아보기 위해 부모교육 실시 전 후에 부모의 양육 효능감과 양육 스트레스를 비교하였고 어떠한 변화가 이루어졌는지 살펴보았다. 연구 결과, 양육 효능감은 유의미하게 증가하였고 양육 스트레스는 유의미하게 감소하였다. 결론: 본 연구는 자녀의 장애 유형과 발달 단계를 고려하여 자폐 범주성 장애 영아 부모를 위한 효과적인 부모교육 프로그램을 개발하였으며, 대그룹과 소그룹, 개별교육을 혼합하여 실행 방법에서 효율적인 교육 프로그램을 개발하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
