This study investigated the effect of high-frequency components of the inaudible band (hereinafter referred to as forest sounds or HFC) in forests on stress reduction. There were unique high-frequency sounds in the forests, and the frequency range was wide. The collection level was higher in the morning than in the afternoon, and in the early morning than in the morning, and forests with more trees were better than shrubs. Forest sounds were refined as sound sources through collection and editing, and when exposed to subjects through hearing and touch, an increase in alpha waves was confirmed. Alpha waves are brain waves involved in mental and physical stability and attention, and are also used as indicators of stress reduction in forest healing. In addition, alpha waves are deeply related to SMR waves and sleep spindles, so the discovery of stimulation methods for improving alpha waves and their effects is a very meaningful result. These results should be considered as essential conditions for selecting a target site when planning a new natural recreation forest. In addition, it is thought that a new forest healing technique has been discovered, such as considering the frequency and degree of forest sound exposure for improved forest healing effects. When the forest sound was refined into a single sound source and stimulated auditorily, the p-value was 0.002, and when it was replaced with a tactile sensation and stimulated the middle part of the chest, the p-value was 0.0001. The successful results of this study can be expected to improve the efficiency of forest healing and to enable its use indoors, such as in office spaces. The new forest healing technique that applies high-frequency forest sounds is expected to have many applications in terms of expanding the applicability of forest healing to bad weather or urban areas.
