화법 교육의 현황 및 대학에서 화법 교육 방향 -맥락(context)에 대한 교육을 중심으로? = A study on the speech education and the directions for speech education in university -Focusing on the education on context

This paper examines the speech educational environment for university students and proposes a direction for speech education in university. The university students do not get enough speech education before entering the university and they are not provided with an opportunity to receive the speech outside the school. However, the communication skill is considered as an important ability in their working life and this skill also has significant effect on establishing a personal relationship. With this point in view, the speech education in university is urgent. In modern society, where communication failure between modern generations and/or classes and communication between different cultures are inevitable, the communication becomes more complicated. In this paper, the present writer argues that the speech education in university should consider these circumstances of learner and various aspects of the modern Korean society. Therefore, the speech education for communication between different ages and classes and for communication between different cultures should focus on different aspects. The speech education for communication between different ages and classes should serve a balancing act between different sides in the conflict. To this end, this paper proposes an education for understanding the traditional cultures with different values of sub groups along with an education to set and experience various roles. The education for communication between different cultures should focus on education for understanding each other`s cultures. Accordingly, an education on Korea`s sociocultural context, which forms the backbone of our society is essential. In this paper, the writer suggests a detailed language education, which allows those who flowed into the Korean society to use and experience the language in circumstances where the representation of this feature(context) is included.
