대만인 관광 가이드를 위한 한국어 교재 개발 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to suggest textbook development for Taiwanese
tour guide. “Korean speaking tour guide” mentioned in this study refers to
Taiwanese who guide Korean tourists around Taiwan as a tour guide. Even if the
number of Korean tourists increased over the years, there was always a shortage
of Korean speaking tour guides. Not only that, when it comes to the Korean
language education for tourism in Taiwan, it is far from sufficient condition as a
whole. For example, Korean language education for tourism is hardly available in
language schools. Even though there are few language schools providing Korean
language courses for tourism, the fact is that the course is almost the same with
general Korean language course which begins with learning Hangul instead of
providing special education related to tourism. Although some guide books written
in Korean have been published in recent years, they do not meet the learners
needs. To approach to its solution, it is necessary to propose a solution plan for
Korean language textbooks for tourism. Thus, the thesis will be generated in the
following contents. The purpose of the study and previous studies for Korean language education
for tourism in Korea and Taiwan are introduced in the first part. Then the
concept of a tourism guide, features of the Korean language education for tourism
are summarized, and the principles and features of the development of Korean
textbook for tourism are explained as the theoretical background supporting this
study. In the light of the illustration of Korean language education in Taiwan and
Korea, analysis of existing Korean textbooks on tourism are presented. Not only
good communication ability but also the particular purpose of this service work

need to be emphasized in Korean language education for tourism. Then, in order
to enhance the specialized skill of tour guides in Taiwan, a survey by
questionnaires was carried out. Based on the previous discussions, this thesis
applies the theory of textbook development and the result of questionnaires to
object setting and syllabus planning. Therefore, speaking and listening ability are
hygely emphasized for the development of integrated textbook for special purpose.
So given the distinctive character of the curriculum of Korean education for
tourism, a learners should be taken into consideration. Moreover, principle of
content-based language teaching is utilized to the introduction stage. At the
conclusion, the limitations of this thesis as well as the prospect and suggestions
are presented.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 대만에서 활동하는 한국어 관광 가이드를 위한 한국어 교재 개발방안을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서의 “한국어 관광 가이드”는 대만을 방문하는 한국인 관광객을 상대하는 대만인 관광 가이드를 말한다. 한국인 여행객이 해마다 증가하고 있지만 한국어 관광 가이드가 부족한 것이 현실이다. 그러나 대만에는 관광 한국어 교육 기반이 턱없이 부족하고 관광 한국어를 배울 수 있는 정규 학교나 사립 학원 등의 교육 시설이 많지 않다. 그러한 기관이 있더라도 특수 목적 한국어보다는 기초 한글부터 배우는 일반 교재를 사용하고 있는 것이 현실이다. 또한, 현재까지 대만을 소개하는 관광 서적 중 한국어로 쓰인 것도 매우 소수이다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 첫 단계가 바로 한국어 교재 개발방안 제시가 될 수 있을 것이다. 즉, 전문적인 한국어 관광 가이드를 양성하기 위한 한국어 교재가 매우 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 연구 목적을 밝히고 가이드를 위한 관광 한국어 교육에 대한 한국과 대만의 선행 연구를 검토하였다. 이론적 배경을 마련하기 위해 관광 가이드에 대한 선행연구를 바탕으로 관광 가이드의 개념과 관광 한국어 교육의 특징, 관광 한국어 교재 개발의 원리와 특징을 정리하였다. 그리고 대만의 한국어 교육과 관광 한국어 교육을 살펴본 후, 개발된 관광 한국어 교재를 분석하고 개선점을 제시하였다. 관광 한국어 교육에는 언어 교육의 일반적인 목표인 원활한 의사소통뿐만 아니라 서비스 직무가 가지는 특수 목적이 동시에 존재해야 한다. 한국어를 잘 한다고 해도 한국어로 서비스 직무를 잘 수행할 수 있다는 보장을 할 수 없기 때문이다. 따라서 관광 가이드의 직무 전문성을 높이기 위한 요구조사와 인터뷰의 대상은 대만 현지에서 한국어 관광 가이드 직무를 수행하고 있는 사람들이다. 앞에서 언급한 논의를 바탕으로 교재 개발의 이론적 원리에 요구조사의 분석 결과를 적용하여 교육목표를 설정하고 교수 요목을 설계한 다음, 교재 개발방안을 제시할 것이다. 본고에서는 말하기와 듣기의 언어 기능의 중점을 둔 특수 목적의 통합 교재를 개발하고자 한다. 따라서 관광 한국어 교육과정의 특수성을 고려하여 학습자의 선행 지식을 적극적으로 활용할 것이다. 한편 교육의 도입 단계에서는 내용 중심 언어 교수법의 원리를 사용할 것이다. 마지막으로 결론에서는 전반적인 내용을 요약 및 정리하고 한계를 밝힌다. 또한, 앞으로의 전망과 함께 차후의 연구 과제를 제시하고자 한다.
