The purpose of this study is to analyze how TV sports influence the youth in forming their general attitude toward sports. The survey using questionaries was initially conducted against 1100 male and female high school students in Kyunggi-do who were selected by cluster random sampling method. Discarding 69 of these - for reasons of insincere answers and unbelievable materials - 1031 responses were used for this study. The statistics methods employed in analyzing the data were SPSS 12.0 for windows(the Chi-Square test, the t-test, the correlation analysis, regression analysis). The conclusion through the upper study method is as follow; 1. The scores show that the mean scores of the male students are significantly higher than those of the female students and a middle school students than a high school students in every respect. 2. Frequency of viewing has great influence on the youth` attitude toward sports(p<.001). The more frequently they watch TV, the more positive attitude they take toward sports. 3. It is in the behavioral respect that interest in TV sports has the greatest influence on the students` attitude toward sports. And it also has great influence in the cognitive and affective respect.
