    Seven compounds (1-7) were isolated from n-hexane and EtOAc-soluble fractions of the roots of
    Erigeron annuus by repeated silica gel column chromatography. They were identified as simiarenol
    (1), β-sitosterol (2), daidzein (3), apigenin (4), apigenin 7-O-β-D-glucuronide (5), 3-hydroxy-pyran-
    4-one (6), and β-sitosterol glucoside (7) on the basis of physical and spectroscopic data. Compounds
    1 and 3 were isolated for the first time from the Erigeron species.
