莘憩 李敦宇의 詩世界 - 『甲藁』의 上下詩卷을 중심으로 - = The study of Sin-gae Lee Don-woo's poetry in his collection of works 『Gap-go』

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is about the three types of the poetry of Singae(莘憩) Lee Don-woo(李敦宇,1801-1884) who was the core high-ranking government official, lived in Choseon Dynasty. The first group of his poetry revealed the consciousness of the government official and the second revealed the consciousness of his family. And the last showed the consciousness of the escape and leisure of his life. The contents of his poetry are the themes of seasonal view, travel, amusement, and association of his relatives in poetry club. He leaved about 490 pieces of poetry and they revealed the seriousness of poet(or writer).

As example he wrote the detailed footnotes and additional explanations under the vague poetic dictions(e.s. pen names, place names, historical events..)and intermittently remained the created period.

In the preface of his collection of works 『Gap-go(甲藁)』, he said that he will abandon nothing of his works and leaved all works exhaustively. We had acknowledged his affections and intention of his book’s edition.

The great deals of his poetry are generally revealed his optimistic world of spirits like his rich life. However he had the limits as a government official. That is the point he didn’t have the knock period and keen awareness of reality. Although the people in basic culture groaned under tyranny and even suffered from the famine and infectious diseases.
