孝悌圖의 抽象化 傾向에 관한 硏究 = (A) Study on Abstract Tendency of HYO-JE-DO

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Min Hwa means old pictures which have visibly represented aesthetic consciousness and emotion of a nation.
In general, the main subject of Min Hwa has been chosen details which were suited to aesthetic consciousness and emotion, and an account of details, Min Hwa has had particular forms of arthistic presentation.
HYO-JE-DO is a kind of Min Hwa and it has had a special form.
As contrasted with general Min-Hwa, HYO-JE-DO has black as a main color, and basic painting is located in the chaniese character.
HYO-JE-DO has represented the main thought of confucian morals with eight words and they were composed of filial piety, brotherly love, loyalty, faith, etiguette, rightness, probity, shame.
This picture has been very changed due to passing of times. In the first stage, the contents have been drawn to be agreeable with the details of words in the number of strokes in a chineses character by the moral majesty but in the Latter period, the painting which has been located in letter started to go out of basic painting and encroach the letter.
As previously stated, this phenomenon was explained the motive of establishment and complication of aesthetic representive desire, in the course of changing, it composed the confused picture by resulting in the decorative intention.
In the course of the last period, there were 'the drawing stage' without the effect of color and decided composition, namely it did not matter that the pictures were a letter with the painting nature, this picture is 'Bi-Back picture.'
In Bi-Back picture, we could feel the aesthetic pleasant by a flowing line, the depth of ink-stic, harmony of blank and immediate effect of rapid writing.
By means of them, we could also enjoy fully the natural urge to shape of man.
We could call 'Bi-Back pictures' as the writing picture and as word 'A Chinese Charater' is a kind of them.
In the relation of a picture and writing, We could prove the abstract nature with chinese paintings and writings.
In the changing course of presentive method of the writing picture which is linking from HYO-JE-DO to Bi-Back picture, we could apparently know the abstrative intention, pointing to the presentation of pure abstract.
In this study, as special example, the intention of such abstract picture remarkably appeared in the method of MIN-HWA. Considering this point, we can sufficiently understand MIN-HWA, and the meaning of this paper is to have the corretive appreciation of MIN-HWA.
