The critical appraisal of financial policies for small and medium enterprises(SMEs) is of paramount importance. Causal analysis serves as a robust tool, aiding policy makers in their decision-making process by precisely discerning the real impacts of policies and quantifying their efficacy, while concurrently isolating these effects from extraneous factors. This method of analysis enjoys widespread application as a vital empirical tool across diverse academic disciplines. In this manuscript, we succinctly elucidate two of the three prevailing methodologies that govern the realm of causal analysis - the potential outcome approach and the do-calculus approach, whilst also shedding light on the contemporary advancements in causal analysis techniques

국문 초록 (Abstract)

중소기업 정책(특히 금융)에 대한 분석과 평가는 매우 중요한 과정이다. 인과분석은 정책의 실질적인 효과를 정확하게 식별하고, 그 효율성과 효과를 다른 요인으로부터 분리하는 데있어 효과적인 도구로서, 정책 결정자의 의사결정 과정을 돕는다. 인과분석은 다양한 학문분야에서 중요한 경험적 분석방법으로서 광범위하게 활용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 인과분석의 주요 흐름을 이루는 세 가지 방법론 중, 잠재결과 접근법과 do-calculus 접근법에 대해 간략하게 설명하며, 동시에 인과분석 방법론의 최신 동향을 소개한다
