<Baltal>, Folk Puppet play is not known to Korea until 1976. But on July 1979 Eungsu(Sunam) Kim restored <Baltal> and performed at the Space Theatre in Seoul Korea. The <Baltal> is unique form of puppetry in the world. The story of <Baltal> is consisted of 19 episodes arranged by Kim. Which shows the lower class people`s daily life. <Baltal> is performed by one operator of puppet Baltalkkun and a performer, clown(called Eoritgwangdae) and six musicians of Samhyeonyugkag such as a Daegum(flute), two Piri(pipe), a Haegum(string), a Bug(drum), a Janggu(double drum). The Baltalkun operator his foot covered with mask(man`s face) on the neck of the puppet`s body(torso) and two arms of the puppet. At the same time he sings various folk songs, the part of Pansori, ritual song and final song etc. With dialogue and dance and exchanges the snappy repertory With the clown. He also engages in the snappy repertory Baltalkkun and tries to address to the musicians or audience. They co-exist in the same area, frontside of puppet`s stage. The Baltalkkun performs behind the curtains made by four erected pillars and the puppet stands before the curtains. In the thesis I discuss the original form of Baltal prformance and also I arrange the difinite form of Baltal performance which is decided `Intangible Cltural Assets no. 79` in Korea. The purpose of thesis is to introduce Eungsu Kim`s script of Baltal which shows Pak, Chunjae`s original form and also the form of perfomance which shows Lee, Dongan`s difinite form. Besides I anounce who is the legitimacy initiate of Lee, Dongan`s Baltal officiallly and I declair my will to hand down the technic of Baltal`s performance.
