金起林의 小說 硏究 = A Study on Kim Gi-Rim's Fiction

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Kim Gi-Rim, as Known as a poet and a literary theorist, wrote three short stories. They are <The document of prosperity>, <A certain life> and <The area along the railway>.
This thesis is a study on them, for researching his literary results.
This author studied on four topics about them. First, his recognition of actuality based in his works, 2nd the characters, 3rd, the literary style, and 4th whether <The area along the railway> is a medium length story or not.
As the result, the author draw a conclusion following below from his works.
Kim was concerned about destitution and abuse that was brought social industrialization during colonial period. In fictions, the recognition is connected with colonial situation, but not in his poetry. He held solutions to the problem in suspense with creating effete character in his works.
He possessed a sensuous, novel literary style. In this connection, We would affirm the similarity between his verse and prose. Beside, he made the best use of provincial dialect in dialogue.
4th topic is a problem awaiting to be studied more.
The studies on Kim, after this, should be advanced in studying the connection with his works in various genre.
