The purpose of this paper is to point out some translatological peculiarities on Yeohuneonhae. It is necessary to analyse Yeohuneonhae.
as a version. Yeohuneonhae is composed of three parts, Chinese classic sentence(source text), gugyeolmun(source text by putting the grammatical particles and endings) and eonhaemun (target text).
In Yeohuneonhae the source text is concerned with respect for the editor and advanced culture in the light of imperialistic viewpoint.
Gugyeolmun is the sentence pattern that appears in the process of translating Chinese classic sentence into Korean. Gugyeolmun reflects the intermediary stage between source text and target text that retains the properties of the Chinese classic sentence as well as Korean.
There are four principles of Chinese character notation. Among them hybrid notation is the leaving traces of the source text. In the eonhaemun of Yeohuneonhae hybrid and (hunmin)jeongeum notations are partially disordered.
To clarify the characteristics of eonhaeseo, every version should be analysed on the basis of criteria. But it is not easy to suggest objective criteria because there are many different versions of translations according to the diverse backgrounds of translators.
