한일 해양교육 자료로 살펴보는 해양리터러시에 관한 일고찰 = A Study on the Ocean Literacy of Korea-Japan Maritime Education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 한국과 일본의 해양교육에 관한 일부 자료를 바탕으로 해양 리터러시에 대해 고찰하였다. 먼저, 한국의 경우 공개된 해양 인식조사 데이터를 활용하여 속성별로 국민들의 해양교육에 대한 인식을 분석하였다. 일본의 경우에는 내각부(內閣府)의 해양교육 자료를 통해 해양교육에 대한 접근 방식, 시스템, 자료 공개 방법 등을 검토하였다. 그 결과, 일본은 정부 주도로 해양 교육기관 목록이 홈페이지에 정리되어 있으며, 민간부터 관학까지 다양한 해양 교육기관이 포함되어 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 반면, 한국은 해양 교육기관의 리스트가 체계화되어 있지 않았으나, 일본과는 달리 해양교육에 대한 꾸준한 인식조사 결과가 발표되고 있었다. 또한 해양교육 관련 설문조사 결과가 정리되어 있어 국민들이 쉽게 확인할 수 있었으며, 이를 통해 국민들이 해양교육을 어떻게 인식하는지 파악할 수 있었다. 이러한 한국과 일본의 다양한 해양교육 자료를 비교·검토함으로써 양국의 해양 리터러시를 더 깊이 이해할 수 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examined marine literacy based on some data on marine education in Korea and Japan. First of all, in the case of Korea, the public perception of marine education by attribute was analyzed based on the open marine perception survey data.In the case of Japan, based on marine education data from the Cabinet Office, approaches, systems, and data disclosure methods were examined. As a result, in the case of Japan, it was confirmed that marine educational institutions were listed on the website led by the government. Among this list, it was confirmed that marine educational institutions from the private sector to government schools were covered. In contrast, the list of maritime education institutions in Korea was not systemized.However, unlike Japan, the results of a steady survey on the perception of marine education were being published. In addition, the survey on marine education was organized so that the public could easily check it. It is easy to find how the public perceives marine education. By examining various types of marine education data in Korea and Japan, we were able to understand the maritime literacy of both countries.
