공자의 교육사상에 나타난 두 가지 교육: 회인(誨人)과 교민(敎民) = Two Concepts of Teaching in the Analects of Confucius: Instructing a Man and Training the People

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Generally speaking, Confucius is known as a great teacher in human history. But Cho, Ki-bin asserts that Confucius is only an aristocratic politician with the desire of restoring slavery. In order to do this assertion, he analyzes the meaning of several concepts in the Analects of Confucius in relation to social condition of Confucian days, especially the meaning of instructing a man and training the people. But his analysis is constituted on the basis of Marxism. Therefore, it can not reveal the meaning of instructing a man and training the people as they are. The meaning of instructing a man and training the people is revealed by being related to Confucian theory of education as a whole, or to Confucian life of education in itself. In that case, Confucian theory of education inquired by centering on the distinction of instructing a man and training the people, otherwise asserted by Cho, Ki-bin, can not only explain the core aspect of present education, but also prescribe the right direction of present education.
