This study has a target to understand Cheong-cheon-dang Sim Su-Gyeong`s attitudes and thoughts in his life. The contents of this study consist of mainly three chapters except introduction and conclusion. In the first chapter the origin and context of his ancestors and his family are surveyed. In the second his world of daily life and consciousness are discussed with the sources from his literature and other public records and private records about him. In the last criticism and comments from Royal historian and other officers against/for his attitudes or his specialty are introduced for a objective understanding of him. And in the second chapter four more detailed discussions are added. The first is about his mother’s strict home disciplines that seemed to be his morally solid foundation for his achievement as clean and incorrupt officer nominated by Royal authority and finall chosen as the ultimate ranking of officer. In the second, his career as officers for more than 50 years long and attitude of regarding the reality and truth of the Humanities as the most important value during his official work are discussed. In the third his ideas of rituals and ceremonies are explained. In the last the fact of his raising of the army in the cause of justice and loyalty and official/private admirationsl on it are mentioned for understanding his steadfast loyalty even in his very old age.
