치과기공사의 전문직업이미지 연구 : Q-방법론적 접근 Q-methodological approach = A Study on the professional image of a dental laboratory technician

Today, the role of dental laboratory technician plays an important part for good oral health service. For this, It is important to study what motivates human being for development of everyone's duty and ability.
Human beings behave by way of image which they recognize including learning and information (Lindguist. 1974). Such that one's image of job which exists in thoughts of dental laboratory technician is impacts job performance.
In this study, I attempted to figure out and analyze the type of job image made up of dental laboratory technician and I try to study this using Q-methodology which can measure human subjective characteristics systematically and scientifically.
The concrete process of study through Q-methodology is as follows.
1. Q-group is that total 441 data were collected through interview and reference books
2. At last, 35 Q-samples of the collected 441 statements are the result considering the repetition of contents.
3. P-sample is that 25 dental laboratory technicians are decided by way of convenient selection.
4. I tried to sort out each opinion of importance at the gauge of 9 point so that 35 statements of job image as investigated subjects might be compulsory normal distribution.
5. the classified result was analyzed as Q-factor of PC QUANL program.
Consequently, the subject characteristics of dental laboratory technology about the image was discovered as three types. And the analyzed result of its characteristics is as follows.
Type 1. They thought that working conditions such as pay, treatment and working environment etc. were inferior but operation was superior. They had a tendency to get over the present situation by making a constant effort.
Type 2. they showed a positive reaction to being a professional technician. They enjoyed working and They persevered in their efforts for self-discipline. This was the most ideal working type for inspiration of positive image, and for seeing the working condition with a favorable eye.
Type 3. They had a negative viewing of their job. They put a value on outer working conditions such as payment, working environment etc. They also felt that work was uncomfortable, difficult and uncontented
Seeing that I put the above results together, They had a little similarity, but the image about job in every type to dental laboratory technician was very different respectively. So, specific characters of dental laboratory technique in every type were analyzed in this study.
Therefore, the significance is to suggest a basic data mediation device to improve the professional image of dental laboratory technician.
