    Furniture is a very important element in the space design. A variety of furniture has existed from the past to the present. The purpose of this study is to find out the method of modernization about famous classic furniture in terms of reinterpreted and propose new design. The method of study is a literature survey and project research. The results of design study are as followed. Frist, it is selected 4th famous furniture designers and their furnitures from the 1900s to the 2000s. Second, the selected 4th designers and furnitures are frank lioyd wright-chair, marcel breuer-cesca chair, harry bertoia-diamond chair and mario bellini-sofa. Third, these 4th furnitures are changed design forms and materials to modern style. Finally, it is founded the various possibilities that can be reinterpreted from classical furniture to modern furniture.
