The purpose of this study is to estimate an intention of Korean tourist for traveling with cruise. For this research, the survey was conducted from July 2018 to September 2018 via online, offline survey. The targeted people were over 20 years to under 65 years who lived in 16 regions of South Korea. 1000 of households with monthly income were participants of this survey.
In this study, the dependent variable is measured on dichotomous scale. So, Binary Logistics Regression was used for the analysis of the survey data. An intention for traveling with cruise were answered into (two groups: “yes” or “no”). Among many independent variables, the variables “Seoul”, “Gyeonggi”, the age group “Thirty”, education level “University”, “Householder” of household and monthly income group named “Three hundred” are significant to the answer of an intention to travel with cruise “Yes”. The results show participants from Seoul and Gyeonggi were statically significant to an intention of Korean for cruise travel.
This study was expected to provide the useful information to the cruise tourism organization and Korean government by estimating an intention of Korean tourists for traveling with cruise for the development of cruise industry. Implications for future research of this study are also discussed.
