종교단체 사회복지사업의 평가 -서울가톨릭시회복지회를 중심으로- = The Evaluation of Social Welfare Programs in Catholic Church -Focus on the Council of Catholic Social Welfare in Seoul Parish-

The Council of Catholic Social Welfare in Seoul parish(CCSWS) is a social welfare organization which support and coordinate social welfare programs at Seoul parish in Korea. This council was established in 1976 and has been implemented many social welfare programs to this day. Social welfare programs of CCSWS can be evaluated from two sides. The one is role in Catholic church, another is role as private sector of social welfare. The roles in Catholic church are following: 1) activating community for sharing among believers in Catholic 2) integrating social welfare agencies and institutions in Seoul parish 3) advocating and representing for social welfare agencies and institutions in Seoul parish 4) building the infrastructure to implement social welfare activities in Seoul parish. The roles as private sector of social welfare are following: 1) supplementing public welfare sector by picking out and supporting poor people who weren`t covered by the government 2) Raising social welfare issues to government and society 3) demonstrating social welfare programs. The direction and vision of CCSWS as a private sector in social welfare should be set up through examining social condition and church situation in Korea.
