미혼남녀의 결혼의지에 관한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구에서는 미혼 남녀들이 미혼에서 기혼으로 이행하는 과정에 많은 문제가 있을 것으로 보고, 누군가와 관계를 형성하고, 발전시키는 데 필요한 탐색비용에 중점을 두고 미혼 남녀의 결혼의지에 영향을 미치는 요인을 밝히고자 한다. 이를 통해 미혼율 증가와 초혼연령 상승에 대한 원인을 경험적으로 규명하고, 한국의 저출산 문제를 해결하기 위한 효과적인 결혼장려 방안을 모색하고자 한다.
미혼 남녀의 결혼의지에 영향을 미치는 요인을 밝혀내기 위해 선행연구를 토대로 연구의 종속변수인 결혼의지의 경우 결혼의향, 결혼계획연령, 결혼계획이행가능성을 하위 영역으로 두었으며, 결혼의지에 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상되는 독립변수에는 배우자 탐색비용, 이성교제 탐색비용, 결혼가치관, 성 관련 태도, 가족건강성, 부모의 자원제공이 포함된다. 이 가운데 배우자 탐색비용은 외적조건 차이와 내적조건 차이를 하위 영역으로 두었으며, 결혼가치관은 안정-낭만적 결혼가치관, 보수-도구적 결혼가치관, 소극-배타적 결혼가치관을 하위 영역으로 두었다. 부모의 자원제공은 도구적 자원제공, 정서적 자원제공, 경제적 자원제공을 하위 영역으로 두었다.
전국의 25세에서 35세사이의 미혼 남녀를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였다. 신뢰성 있는 검증을 위하여 α=.05의 유의수준을 사용하였으며, 신뢰도분석, 빈도분석, 기술통계분석, 상관관계분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다.
분석결과 미혼 남녀의 연령, 경제활동상태, 내적 탐색비용, 이성교제 탐색비용, 보수-도구적 결혼가치관, 소극-배타적 결혼가치관, 경제적 자원제공 등이 결혼의지에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다.
이상의 연구결과를 통해 사랑, 결혼, 가족 등에 관한 학문적인 영역의 확장이 시급하며, 미혼 남녀에게는 타인과의 관계 맺음 혹은 누군가를 사랑함에 있어 자신의 가지는 의미와 그 중요성을 논의하는 시간이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 즉 배우자로서 자신의 내적 조건을 함양하고, 사랑에 대한 올바른 이해와 태도를 고취하는 것으로 결혼지연과 비혼의 선택을 줄일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 또한 이러한 결혼장려는 곧 우리사회 저출산 문제의 근본 해결책이 될 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The study aims to explain factors influencing willingness to marriage of single men and women centering on costs of exploration required to form and develop relationships with someone based on the assumption that the single men and women would face many problems in the process of transformation from unmarried status to married status. Toward this end, it is focused on empirically defining the cause of increase in un-marital rate and the age of the first marriage and generating plans on effective inducement of marriage that can resolve problems related to low birth rate in Korea.
In an effort to figure out factors influencing willingness to marriage of single men and women, intention of marriage, marriage-planning age and the possibility of implementation of a marriage plan were placed in the sub-domain with regard to the willingness to marriage, the dependent variable of the study, and the dependent values expected to influence the willingness to marriage include the costs of spousal explorations, romantic relationships, views on marriage, sex-related attitudes, family health and parental provision of sources.
