신동문 시 연구 : 생애의 전환점을 중심으로 = A Study on Shin Dong-Moon's Poetry -Focusing on the turning point of his life

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 신동문의 시세계를 그 생애의 전환점에 초점을 맞추어 규명하는 것을 목적으로 기획되었다. 이는 신동문의 생애의 전환점이 그의 시세계를 이해하는 주요한 국면을 이루고 있기 때문이다. 6·25 전쟁 기간 중 공군에 자원입대, 4·19 이후의 상경, 1975년의 귀농은 신동문의 생애에서 가장 큰 전환점을 이루고 있다. 신동문의 군복무는 '현대전의 체험'이라는 보다 구체적인 명명이 필요하다. 또한 4·19 이후 사회 참여적 성격을 보이는 작품과 새로운 삶의 전망을 모색하는 작품들이 같은 시기에 발표되어 지금까지 대부분의 연구에서 이를 같은 맥락에서 다루어 왔으나, 신동문 시세계의 또 다른 국면으로 이해할 필요성이 있다.
신동문의 공군 복무 체험을 반영되어 있는 「풍선기」 연작의 지배적인 정서는 피로감이다. 이 피로감은 '組織과 機械와 規模'와의 싸움이라는 현대전의 의미를 간파한 데서 비롯된다. 현대전 즉 현대를 첨단에서 체험한 신동문은 전통적인 시작 방법과 거리를 두고, 「풍선기」 연작을 통해 새로운 시적 세계를 모색한다.
4·19 이후, 사회에 대한 적극적인 관심이 반영된 작품 중에서는 「아! 신화 같은 다비데群들」과 「비닐雨傘」 이 가장 뛰어난 시적 성취를 보이고 있다. 「아! 신화 같은 다비데群들」은 혁명의 현장을 그대로 옮겨 놓은 듯한 역동성을 보인다. 「비닐雨傘」은 반복을 통해 독자들은 시의 표면에 드러나지 않은 비닐우산과 대통령의 의미를 발견하고, 주제연이라고도 할 수 있는 제6연을 유추해낼 수 있게 한다. 「비닐雨傘」의 연 단위의 반복은 독자로 하여금 스스로 의미를 생성할 수 있도록 하여 풍자의 효과를 극대화하는 장치로 기능한다.
신동문의 귀농과 농장 경영은 외부의 압력이 아니라 스스로의 계획과 준비에 의해 이루어졌다는 점을 그의 시를 통해 확인할 수 있다. 새로운 삶에 대한 전망은 「'아니다'의 酒酊」, 「바둑과 洪景來」, 「내 노동으로」 등의 시에 나타난 자신의 현재 삶에 대한 부정에서 비롯된다. 그러나 그 부정은 「散文 또는 生産」의 대안을 바탕으로 하고 있다. 「散文 또는 生産」 내용적인 측면에서 그리고 시의 형식을 통해 앞으로 수양개 마을에서 펼쳐질 삶의 청사진을 보여주고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was designed to investigate the characteristics of Shin Dong-Moon's poetry focusing on the turning point of his life. To understand his poetry, the turning point of his life is most important. Volunteered for the Air Force during the Korean war, life in Seoul after 4·19, farm life after 1975 are the biggest turning point in his life. His military service is 'experience of modern warfare'. After 4·19, because participatory work of social trends was presented at the same time with work to find the prospect of a new life. They were treated in the same dimension. In his poetry, but they should be understood as a different dimension.
In "Pungseongi" series reflected the experience of his Air Force service. The dominant emotion is fatigue. Such fatigue is the cause of understanding the meaning of modern warfare, fighting against 'organization and the machinery and the scale'. He is experienced modern high-tech and through "Pungseongi" series he devised a new way to poetry apart from traditional methods.
Since 4·19, among the works reflecting an concern for social, "Ah! Armies, such as the myth of David" and "Vinyl Umbrella" has shown the most outstanding poetic achievement. "Ah! Armies, such as the myth of David" has the dynamism of the Revolution field. In "Vinyl Umbrella" the same phrase is repeated. Due to these repeated, reader is to be able to generate their own meaning and effective satire is achieved.
Shin Dong-Moon's farm management rather than the external pressure, was done by his planning and preparation. The prospects for a new life comes from the denial about his current life. Such a denial is shown in "'No' the drunk", "Baduk and Honggyeongrae", "As my labor" And an alternative to the denial is "Prose, or the production". "Prose or production" shows a blueprint for a new life through the content and format.
