노인의 일자리사업 참여 경험을 통한 일의 의미 = The Meaning of the Work of the Elderly Focused on the Experience of Senior Job Participants

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examines the meaning of the work that senior citizens themselves observe through specific experiences of senior citizens taking part in the elderly job project. We interviewed in depth eight senior residents who have joined in the job project for old civilians. Interview data were analyzed with general qualitative research methods. The classifications are “work that makes money”, “to be a working being”, and “ego created through work experience”. For the aged, work was more for getting money than anything else. working itself has great significance for the elderly. Working meant that there is a place to go and come for work. Also, work was to affirm one's existence and ability and to let them gain a sense of achievement and pride through the recognition and respect of others. However, the meaning of the job for the elderly differed depending on their work experience and work relationship, which showed that social perception influenced the meaning of the job for the elderly. Based on these analysis results, it was suggested that it is necessary to check and improve the enterprise performance process.
