This study sims to propose strategical directions for the enhanceent of the downtown revitalization of the city of Gyeongju in terms of the spatial structural perspective. To accomplish the research objectives this study reviews and examines major public plans for the city of Gyeongju such as, 2020 Urban master plan for Gyeongju, Master plan for the establishment of Gyeongju Historical and Cultural City, 2004 and etc. In addition this study reviews some case studies of foreign nations' efforts to promote the urban regeneration. Based on the findings from these research ourcomes this study analysises current conditions of downtown Gyeongju and finds some problems from the spatial structural perspectives. Finally this study propose three strategical directions for the enhanceent of the downtown revitalization of the city of Gyeongju in terms of the spatial structural perspective.
