초보상담자의 어려움과 작업동맹의 관계에서 정서지능의 조절효과

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 초보상담자 211명을 대상으로 초보상담자의 어려움과 작업동맹과의 관계에서 정서지능의 조절효과를 확인하고자 하였으며, 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 초보상담자가 상담 과정에서 어려움을 경험할수록 정서지능과 작업동맹은 낮아지는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 자신과 타인의 정서를 잘 인식하고 조절, 활용하는 능력이 높을수록 내담자와 관계형성이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 초보상담자의 어려움의 하위요인 중 상담자특성이 작업동맹에 가장 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 또한 정서지능의 하위요인 중 정서활용이 작업동맹에 가장 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 셋째, 초보상담자의 어려움과 작업동맹과의 관계에서 정서지능의 조절효과를 검증한 결과, 정서지능이 초보상담자의 어려움과 작업동맹의 관계에서 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 정서지능이 높은 집단의 경우 초보상담자의 어려움이 높더라고 작업동맹이 높은 것을 알 수 있었고, 정서지능이 낮은 집단의 경우 초보상담자의 어려움이 높은 경우 작업동맹을 더욱 감소시킨다는 것을 확인하였다.
본 연구의 의의는 초보상담자의 어려움이 상담관계인 작업동맹과 어떤 관계가 있는지 확인하였으며, 초보상담자의 어려움을 극복하고, 작업동맹을 향상시키는데 정서지능이 중요한 역할을 한다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is to ascertain the moderating effect of emotional intelligence in the relationship between novice counselors' difficulties and working alliance by conducting a survey of 211 novice counselors and the results of this study are summarized as belows. First of all, the more difficulties the counselors have in counselling, the lower emotional intelligence and working alliance become. And the higher ability to recognize, control and utilize emotions the counselors have, the better relationships with clients they build. In the second place, characteristics of the counselors and emotion utilization, the sub factors of novice counsellors' difficulties and emotional intelligence respectively, have bigger effects on working alliance than all other sub factors. Finally, emotional intelligence has the control effect in the relationship between novice counselors' difficulties and working alliance. Despite high level of difficulty, some with high emotion intelligence have high working alliance. However, others with low emotion intelligence have low working alliance when they have high level of difficulty. The significance of this study is to verify the relationship between novice counselors' difficulties and working alliance and to confirm that emotional intelligence plays a key role in overcoming difficulties and improving working alliance.
