중국 연변조선족의 문화변용전략 양상 연구: 연길시 거주 조선족을 대상으로 = A Study on the Acculturation of Yanbian Korean Chinese

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Yanbian is designated as an autonomous prefecture, and it is the largest concentrated living region of Korean Chinese who are immigrants as well as ethnic minority in China. The purpose of this study is to analyze acculturation strategy types of Yanbian Korean Chinese having these regional characteristics. The survey was carried out where Korean Chinese was living in Yanji and administered the East Asian Acculturation Measure(EAAM) of Barry consisting of 29 measures which is based on Berry's acculturation strategy theory, and they were provided demographic information. According to the results, Korean Chinese has mostly used integration strategy (M=3.56), and tendency for assimilation to mainstream of China is low (M=2.72). Furthermore, acculturation strategies showed different findings depending on the demographic characteristics such as age, education, place of birth and marital status: 1) age and marital status were associated with assimilation type, 2) education was associated with segregation and integration types, 3) age, place of birth and marital status were associated with marginalization type.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

중국의 연변지역은 이주민족이면서 소수민족인 조선족의 최대 집중거주구역이며, 조선족에 의한 민족자치가 실현되고 있는 곳이다. 이 연구는 이러한 지역적 특성을 갖고 있는 연변조선족의 문화변용전략 유형이 어떻게 나타나고 있는지를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 베리의 문화변용전략이론을 바탕으로 29개의 문항으로 구성된 배리의 문화변용척도(EAAM)를 사용하여 연길시에 거주하고 있는 조선족들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과에 의하면, 연변조선족들은 통합 전략(M=3.56)을 주로 사용하며, 중국의 주류사회로 동화(M=2.72)되는 경향은 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 나아가 개인적․상황적 특성에 따른 문화변용전략은 연령․학력․출생지․결혼여부에 따라 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 동화 유형에서는 연령․결혼여부, 분리 및 통합 유형에서는 학력, 주변화 유형에서는 연령․출생지․결혼여부에 따라 유의미한 결과가 도출되었음을 알 수 있었다.
