    It is investigated that the endangered plants in National Parks consist of 55 groups, 50 species and five mutant species. The most-frequently found endangered plant in 20 National Parks appear to be Paeonia obovata. The second most-frequently found endangered plants are Cypripedium macranthum and Iris koreana. Cypripedium macranthum and Iris koreana are not locally distributed but rather dispersed all over the Korean Peninsula, and they seem to be distributed equally in both central and southern areas. Each National Park shows various distributions of endangered plants. 20 National Parks have 5.5 endangered plants on average, and Mt. Halla National Park has been found to have the most number of endangered plants with 25 groups. Moreover, Dadohaehaesang National Park possesses 13 endangered species while Gyeongju National Park has none. Among the endangered plants distributed in Korea National Parks, 26 groups appear to live in warm-temperature broad-leaved forests. This phenomenon results from the fact that the Korean Peninsula belongs to Korean Peninsula-subtype among North East Asian cool temperature forests’ geo-vegetation types. Also, 16 groups appear to have coastal vegetations because most of them belong to broadleaved evergreens and orchids found in Dadohaehaesang National Park and Hallyeohaesang National Park. Four groups of water-living and wetland-living species like catchfly and watershield plant appear to live in wetland and have wetland vegetation. Three groups from cool-temperature forests vegetation, two groups from mountain and Epilithic plant vegetation, two groups from Alpine and subalpine vegetation, and one group from Pioneer and mantle vegetation have been found.
