    This article is about Buddhist architecture in the region of Kyongju in the 18th century. After Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592, a large percentage of 200 temples built in Silla Kingdom had been destroyed by Japanese incendiary fire. Maybe thirteen temples were reconstructed after the War in 1592, but until now there remains only four temples such as Bunhwang-sa 芬皇寺, Bulguk-sa 佛國寺, Girim-sa 祇林寺, Baikyul-sa 栢栗寺. It is stated in historical records and documents, epitaphs, calligraphic inscriptions Buddhist Temples in Kyongju region were the government officials, Buddhist monks and peoples of Kyongju province. Without the devotion of reconstruction of 200 years, from the 17th century to the 18th century, nowadays there remains no temple in Kyongju region.
